Two comments on newsflashes as a kid. They were usually announced as "news reports" which was disappointingly dull when it was clearly a news flash and a missed opportunity to call them as such. The news flash I remember most vividly was one that interrupted a Batman film where batman and Robin had just burst into a room of baddies when we had a news report to announce that the battle for Port Stanley had begun.
